CNY 2012

The time of the year again! One of the highlights of the new year :) Though grandma said our reunion table's getting smaller, i think our family has been growing closer since granddad left us. Smaller, closer better than bigger, further righhtttt. Love how we can see our extremely big group of cousins/extended family during this period of time :)

Though ive been having this crazy bug in me, flu, sore throat & headaches since cny, i'd said it did me some good in staying away from all the junkie!

That's about it for cny! Loved the visiting, spent time and caught up with distant cousins & gotta feel the love from everyone in the family. Its truly my prayer that this cny tradition never dies.

So.. its already the second week of Jan. 2012 seems to be quite... alright till now. Gotta make decisions for the degree thing sooooon. Its quite tough to make such decisions.. Like if I do UoB, ive to go to UK, for quite awhile. Kinda sucks cause I dont really wanna be away from sg. Its just a comfort zone thing im sure. Not really keen about UOL & RMIT. The stories I hear... are traumatizing

Anyway, should stop thinking too much about things. Life has been a little play, alot of meetings and more work waiting for me to complete. Sem 4 has been going pretty well i'd say. At least I pay more attention in class - for a 830am lesson, its rare. I usually reach school at 850+? heh.

CNY's coming and all the eating is gonna make me fattttt. Took a break from running cause my Achilles Tendon acted up again and when it did, it was crazily painful. Could barely walk and it was the reason for my never ending tears. Thankful that im fine again & all the prayers :)

Learned to kinda make my own breakfast so that I spend less in school. I really loveee cookinggg ^^ But making breakfast in the morning, is pretty rush ):

Really loved how the past weeks have been. After CNY is gonna be crazyyyyy with submissions and exams soon. Looking forward to a few trips that hopefully will happen in March :D

New Year's Eve/New Year's

Met Giff, Jerome & Eunice for lunch @ Burger Shack that afternoon, was good company & alot of laughter!

Countdown~

Amazing company, even though all the other girls were either not free on pangseh-ed halfway cause of some reason ): Was soooo sad. But yx came over! Cooked smoked salmon + portobello pasta. Gawwwwhhhh, it was so yummmmeeeehhhhh :D Yumz! & also attempted to make choco lava cake & baked some mozzarella portobellos for our countdown snack! All of which was pretty successful!

Bestie came over around 10? Stupid guys were glued to the tv cause of the epl match that was on that night. Bea and I was like: can we change channel -.------ It ended up with throwing the remote control from bea to me, shengwei to yaoxian. 0.o

Watched Home Alone 1 and counted down together. Atmosphere was just awesomeeeeeeeeee. Being with my beloved friends, and especially bestie :) Probably our first countdown tgth. Continued watching Home Alone and watched part 2 of it too! We were all glued to it. Watched it like 5/6 times ever since I was little, & i'd never get sick of it :D!!!

Ended the party around 3+, was really great company! Blessed :)

New Year's


Slept through the entire morning. Got up to have lunch but kept going back to bed. And this was the day on that I felt like.... forever sleepy.

Went to pay respects to grandad & headed to SICC for ny dinner :)

2nd day of 2012

Spent it with mum's side & our ex kovan neighbours! Love how much time I get to spend with the family :) Had mum's yummy homecooked bkt. Couldnt stop myself, feels like I finished the whole pot of bkt. Spent time with my little darlings, cant believe they're off to Nursery 1 tmr. Wowwww. How fast time flies!

Also drove with mum to get some lao ban tau huey around our area! Its superb that this guy gets the ingredients from them and does it. It's really genuinely from lao ban. I can ttly taste it. Whopppeeee, no queues! I ttly had issues parallel parking. Gr, hateeeee it till now. 

Went for a run & had a little steamboat with them. Impromptu-ly went to meet yx! It felt like forever since we met! Accompanied him to jw for hokkien mee and headed back after that. An early night....

Twenty-Twelve

I still have faith and hope, that the world wont & isnt ending. Even if it is, it just basically reminds us not to take things that we have everyday for granted.

I think God kinda threw that lesson straight into my face as the whole house experienced a near 'no electricity' for 12 hours. Was like.... strange. Grandma & I thought it was a trip but all the switches were up. Everything in the kitchen couldnt function, including the fridge.... Wanted to get hot milk but ended up drinking semi-cold milk. Slept through the night but woke up sweating & thankful for uncle who came over to help and told us its SP's fault. Which is like the goverment's fault. Walked back home this evening looking at the massive amount of wires that are hanging from the lampost (cause we're tapping on that for electricity now) & SP people are coming again tmr to permanently fix it. I've learnt to be thankful today, My prayer for me to remember doing that everyday. The people who come fix stuff for us on a public holiday and also appreciating electricity.

Its back to school tmr, & I better head to bed soon.
